Privacy Policy
Bestie Ballad (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Clandestine Networks, Inc., a California corporation. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use bestieballad.com and our services, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. 1. Information we collect
- Information you provide. Your email address (if you choose to give it) and the details you enter to create a song — your pet’s name and type, breed, your relationship, the occasion, memories and personality details, and your music preferences (genre, voice, style). If you submit a reaction or a review, we collect the photo, written feedback, optional video, name, pet name, email, and related song or order reference you provide.
- Sensitive details. The stories you share may occasionally include sensitive information (for example, a pet’s illness or a memorial). We only use these details to create your song, and you provide them voluntarily.
- Payment information. When you purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and limited billing details (such as the last four digits and card brand), but we never see or store your full card number.
- Automatic information. Basic technical and usage data such as device and browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, time on site, and referral information (including UTM parameters), collected through cookies and similar technologies to run, secure, and improve the service.
2. How we use your information
- To generate your song and deliver your free preview and full track.
- To email you your song, receipts, and important service messages.
- To provide customer support and honor our guarantee.
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the service and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- With your consent where required, to send occasional marketing you can opt out of at any time.
Your song is created using automated, AI-assisted tools under our contract with you. We do not use your stories, memories, or personal submissions to train publicly available AI models.
3. How we share information
We share only what is needed with trusted service providers who process information on our behalf under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Cloudinary — hosting of audio, submitted pet photos, and reaction videos.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — email delivery.
- Anthropic and our music-generation provider — to create your lyrics and song.
- Vercel — website and application hosting.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Essential — needed to run the site and complete checkout. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics and product improvement — to understand how the site is used. We use Microsoft Clarity (session analytics and heatmaps) and Google Analytics / Google Ads measurement.
- Advertising — to measure and improve our ads. We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, Google Ads, and an OpenAI advertising pixel.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of advertising cookies where required. Because we use the advertising pixels above, our use of them may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law — see your rights below to opt out.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above:

6. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and reputable, security-vetted providers for payments, hosting, and email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to address issues promptly.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email support@bestieballad.com and we’ll respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of your information, to request correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies (Meta, Google, and OpenAI pixels) may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out by enabling the Global Privacy Control in your browser or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request.
9. Users in the EU/UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. 10. Children’s privacy
Bestie Ballad is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new effective date here and, for material changes, notify you where appropriate.
